For Patients Coming from Overseas

We will become a reliable partner for foreign patients with borderless medical services.
  • Provision of interpretation services for medical tourists from airport pickup to in-hospital treatment and examination
  • Establishment of tour plans linked with travel agencies
  • Support for international insurance processing
  • Provision of medical treatment space for foreigners only
  • ONE-STOP process of reservation, reception, treatment, and payment
  • Native speaker coordinators are standby and provide free interpreting service (Language in service: English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian)

In accordance with the [Act on Support for Medical Overseas Expansion and Foreign Patient Attraction], Shihwa Medical Center is registered as a hospital to attract foreign patients and is actively attracting foreign patients through a consortium. Agencies interested in attracting overseas patients or patients residing abroad, please contact the International Healthcare Center at Shihwa Medical Center.

Process

  • STEP 01 Before entering Korea

    • Medical inquiries : Inquiries by e-mail or phone
    • Required documents for inquiries : Doctor's note about the patient's condition from other hospitals, test results, imaging documents (film, CD copy, image file, etc.)
    • Reply from International Healthcare Center : Information such as estimated treatment cost, treatment method, treatment period, and etc. will be provided
    • When deciding to visit Shihwa Medical Center, check additional services required before entering the country: transportation, accommodation, length of stay, airport pick-up, visa-related services
    • Schedules will be sent for medical treatment and examination according to the length of stay
  • STEP 02 Hospital visit

    • Proceed according to the schedule. Additional treatments or tests may required if necessary
    • Confirmation and provision of required documents
  • STEP 03 Departure

    • Airport drop-off service
  • STEP 04 Continuous management

    • Follow-Up service: Continuous consultation on health care after departure
    • Confirmation and scheduling of the next visit when re-visit is necessary
