Health Screening Programs

※ The program is a health screening program for foreigners residing in Korea.

Foreigners residing abroad who want health screening, please contact the International Healthcare Center.

Notice
  • There is a risk of bleeding after biopsy if you have specific health condition or taking anticoagulant, such as Aspirin or Warfarin. In this case, it is necessary to discuss with your doctor in advance regarding medication administration. (It is recommended to stop taking those medications a week before the test)
  • For female: It is possible to have health screening programs except for gynecological examinations during menstrual period or if you are not sexually active.
  • Please inform the staff in advance if you are pregnant, if there is a chance of pregnancy, or if you are on a long-term medication therapy for chronic diseases.
  • The comprehensive health check up usually takes 3 to 4 hours. If you wish to change your appointment schedule, please contact the staff at least 3 days in advance.
  • There may be an additional costs for polypectomy, if necessary.
  • All comprehensive health check up is non-reimbursement items as these check up programmes are not for treatment purposes.
The day before your health check-up
  • For accurate examination results, please avoid excessive alcohol, oily food, meat or Chinese medicine consumption from 3 days before the scheduled date.
  • Please have a light dinner before 9pm and fast from 10pm including fluid. (for colonoscopy, please follow the instruction - fasting is required after completing bowel preparation solution)
  • Please fill out the questionnaire precisely so that the medical staff understand your health condition and for accurate health check-up result counseling.
Health check-up day
  • Please do not have breakfast, including water, chewing gum or smoking cigarettes (please maintain fasting). (Take anti hypertensive medication at around 6am on the examination day with a sip of water)
  • If there is a stool test, please collect the sample, store it in the refrigerator, and bring the container with you.
  • Endoscopy (with sedation) test may not be possible depending on your health condition. After the procedure, please do not drive vehicle or machine operation. If necessary, sedation is only available when you are accompanied with your guardian.
  • Please bring your passport or alien registration card.
  • Please bring the questionnaire and stool sample container with you, and come to the International Healthcare Center.
  • Please do not bring jewelries, denture or valuable items. And please wear glasses instead of contact lenses
