“At the Department of Hemato-Oncology, we deal with diagnosis and treatment of various cancers, such as chemotherapy for blood cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, etc.), solid cancer (gastric cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, etc.) and nonmalignant blood diseases (anemia, platelet disease, hemorrhagic disease, thrombotic disease).”

At the Department of Hemato-Oncology of Shihwa Medical Center, we provide customized treatment with a multidisciplinary approach through organic consultation with specialists in surgery, radiology, pathology, and laboratory medicine according to the patient's general condition and cancer type.

In addition, since the purpose of cancer treatment is not only to prolong life, but also to improve the quality of life, we work closely with the Home Nursing Center and Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and we implement ‘cancer treatment in the vicinity’ for cancer patients in the region by minimizing the side effects of chemotherapy and relieving pain.
